CODE 8 LEAD

I spend a large potion of my time on the merchant side of the business trying to assist roofers to quote there work. "Im a shop keeper so not sure why they ask me" This month I have had a challenging one. The roofer is pricing a large code 8 job as if it was a code 5. I have tried to explain to him that you can not work with code 8 the same as you can with code 5 but he will not listen. I know I know its up too him but I can see the job costing him money 

the job is a flat roof of 36 code 8 bays with code 8 all around the edge approx 50m. Timber work is done apart from the wood roll. The builder wants all the scrap from the old roof. 

The roofer has gone in at 17k supply and fit

Personally I think he has heavily under valued this. I was thinking more like 25k plus the scrap. I even asked a very experienced Lead company and they thought similar .
